Dead Clan Walking was more than just a clan of Unreal players. DcW evolved from that concept and became something better: a family. I'd like to think a lot of the other clans involved in the PIG community strove for what we achieved but never quite got there. No matter what kind of idiotic drama was going on, we had a family to support us. We've been through a lot together! And even though we might not all talk as much as we used to, I'd like to think that connection is still there.
We were all brought together thanks to an absurdly fun gametype: Psycho Instagib. I don't know about you guys but playing PIG on the DcW #1 server was probably some of the most fun I've ever had playing this game. I've played every gametype that Unreal has to offer and nothing is as fun as running a flag, weaving in and out of lasers trying to pew pew me.
Sure it wasn't the most advanced gametype around, but when played correctly it proved to be more challenging than any DM or standard CTF match around. The intensity of a PIG scrim has yet to be matched by anything else for me, and I've played some pretty intense games of Unreal gentlemen.
These forums were the perfect sidekick to the game. So many great memories happened on here and I get nothing but smiles whenever I go through old posts. I hope that this site never dies because I love being reminded of what I was once a part of.
While some members left the clan or went away to pursue other things in life, nobody came close to matching the impact of Drew's departure. The news of his death hit me like a sack of bricks. Drew was such an amazing person and such a key factor in the DcW family. I considered Drew to be the older brother I never had. We were best buds and I miss him so much. I still wait for him to message me on MSN saying, "1v1 noob."
I just wanted to say thank you to the PIG community. Everyone here has given me the greatest years of my life so far and I am forever grateful. You people are great, and I only wish that the magic of this community could come back.

| beautiful Cam. I hope it does come back someday, but it seems we have all gone to different games our stopped playing them completely. I just loded up UT the other night but nothing will be the same as loding it up to play some pig with you guys. Those were the best times I have ever had in my life period. TS was a blast and I dont think I have ever laughed as hard as I did sitting on TS with you guys. Much love to my brothers. I do consider all of you my family <3 |

Ah ya the good ol' days of playing PIG together. I miss the games we all shared. Perhaps one day in the future we can all meet up somewhere when we have the finances to travel and whatnot.
I still come back here to check up and see how people are doing - although there are getting to be less and less posts. =(
You guys want to arrange some time for us to all hop on MSN or AIM or something and have a big chat session?  |

| out of your 4461 posts cam.. i think that might be my favorite one haha or atleast top 5 material.. u always knew how to provke a smile! anyways.. i couldnt of said it better if i tried. at one point in my life there was nothing more i was addicted to than DcW, UT and everything in between.. as gay as it sounds i put everything aside as soon as i signed into ts and double clicked my UT. THANK YOU ALL FOR THE MEMORIES! even though i dont post as much, not a week goes by that i dont check these forums. I will always remember DcW for aslong as im around |

i still hang around ut2k4 every now and then, and pop by here allmost every weekend.
i allways saw in dcw more then a clan, you guys rocked!
